Merlyn "Butch" Briggman, 69, of Manchester, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Liz Briggman of Manchester; two daughters, Laura Knoff of Hiawatha and Julie Briggman of Jewell; his mother, Elaine Briggman of Manchester; a special adopted granddaughter, Caitlyn Rebecca; a sister, Annette Steffen of Bloomington, Minn.; and a brother-in-law, Larry "Denny" Herman of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home. Interment, with military rites: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
