DEBORAH D. WILLIAMS
Joplin, Mo.
Deborah D. Williams, 65, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.
Deborah was born March 8, 1951, in Tulsa, Okla., and graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kan., in 1969. She worked at Mercy Hospital as a PBX operator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Moyer and Grace Caviness Moyer; a sister, Sharon Branstetter; and her grandmother, Ella Caviness.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert "Gil" Williams Jr., whom she married June 19, 1971; a daughter, Dana Williams and husband Patrick Tuttle of Joplin; stepsons, Scott Miester and wife Blythe of Cedar Rapids and Terry Miester and wife Danica of Marion; sister, Linda Blue and husband Don of Wichita; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Parker Mortuary Chapel, Joplin, with the Rev. Gary Shaw officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lafayette House, Souls Harbor or Joplin Humane Society.
