Alice Voss Ehrman, 92, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, at St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown, with Father Craig Stiemel as celebrant. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown, where a rosary and a time of sharing will begin at 7 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
She was born Nov. 23, 1923, on a farm near Watkins, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Oberthine) Voss. Alice married Harold Ehrman on Dec. 27, 1948, at St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown. They had two sons, Allen and Wayne. They dairy farmed north of Blairstown and were active in the Ayshire Association and St. John Catholic Church. For 26 years, Alice worked for Case IH, and those who worked there became her second family. She enjoyed family, friends, flowers and animals, especially Ayshire cows.
Alice is survived by her son, Allen and his wife, Sue; grandson, Lance (Hilary) Ehrman; granddaughters, Cassandra (Nick) Sawyer and Christina (Chris) Anderson; and great-grandkids, Dawson, Dakota and Kinzey Sawyer, Graham and Duncan Anderson and Harold Ehrman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Wayne; five sisters, Irene, Theresa, Marie, Lucille and Rozella; and seven brothers, Eldo, Wilbert, William, Alfred, Dr. Marlyn, Monsignor Elwood and John.
