Mary Jane Church, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Northbrook Manor. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Robin Tyner. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mary Jane is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Sheryl) Church and Richard (Mary) Church, both of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Griggs of Prophetstown, Ill., and Patricia (Stephen) Goodson of Robins; 10 grandchildren, Jacqueline (Nick) Burgart, Angela Church, Dixie (Gerald) Peters, Melanie (Zach) Rissi, Jesse Church, Shana (Bryson) Adler, Shelby (Bill) Riewerts, Joel (Mary) Griggs, Kristin (Pramit) Tamrakar and Katie (Lance) Knight; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Waddle of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mary Jane was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Palo, the daughter of Lloyd and Ina Karr Waddle. She graduated from Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids. Mary Jane married Delaine Ernest Church in March 1950 in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a secretary for the Cedar Rapids Credit Bureau for 44 years, retiring in 1993.
Mary Jane enjoyed attending church, music, reading, and being with her family.
