Leon Frank "Mac" McNeil, 76, of Ainsworth, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at the M.L. McCreedy Home after a lengthy illness. Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Ainsworth Community Church, with Pastor Jason Collier officiating. Calling hours will be from noon until 4 p.m. Friday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Ainsworth Community Church. Interment will take place at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth at a later date.
A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County or Marr Park.

Leon is survived by his wife, Linda McNeil of Ainsworth; son, Lance McNeil and wife Robin of North Liberty; daughter, Lynnette Ammar and husband Rick of Flower Mound, Texas; daughter, Leanne Bender and husband Kelby of Kalona; six grandchildren, Aiden and Liam McNeil, Parker and Conner Ammar, and Madelyn and Morgyn Bender; brother, Blaine McNeil and wife Virginia of New London, Iowa; and niece, Brenda Williams and husband ShaBazz of Burlington.
