Melvin Keith Brown, 83, of Waverly, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services in Waterloo.
Melvin is survived by two sons, Lance (Tammy)
Brown of Las Vegas and Scott Brown of Waverly; three daughters, Kathy (Lou) Staudt of Shell Rock, Kelly (Kevin) Sutton of Waverly and Kristi (Ty) Schuler of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Verland (Velda) Brown of Aurora, Ill., and Wayne (Alice) Brown of Waverly; and two sisters, Dixie (Jim) Lynch of Waverly and Janice (Keith) Berger of Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; one sister, Kathleen Eliason; two brothers, Dr. Harold Brown and Laverne Brown; and one grandson, Jonathan Goddard.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, and an hour before services at the church.
