Joyce Ann Ford crossed over to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 14, 2016, while wintering in Casa Grande, Ariz., with her husband.
Joyce was born Nov. 20, 1947, to Jerry and Dorothy Satinsky in Cedar Rapids. She was educated in the Cedar Rapids school system, where she graduated from Regis High School. Joyce went on to obtain an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College with a double degree in floral design and horticulture.
She was a member of Iowa City Chapter 509 of The Women of the Moose, which she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Ford; her son, Lance (Andrea) Hanson of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Jerry F. (Mary) Satinsky of Gurnee, Ill.; a sister, Janet Bowling of Conyers, Ga.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, who will miss her kind and generous love.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Jean Lewis and Mary Pat Satinsky.
Rest in Peace.
A celebration of life memorial is being planned.
