Unfortunate news: Buffalo Bills running Fred Jackson of Coe College out 4-6 weeks with a broken hand

Aug. 16, 2010 2:30 pm
I never had given it much thought, I admit, but I never believed someone from Coe College would become a 1,000-yard rusher in the NFL.
Then came Fred Jackson. The ex-Kohawk reached 1,062 rushing yards in 2009 and caught 46 passes for 371 yards. Good season. Good ballplayer.
Football is a tough game, though. Jackson
has a broken bone in his left hand, and will be out of action for the next 4-6 weeks. He was injured in his second play of the Bills' preseason game against Washington last Friday.
