(WCSD: Washington, IA) The Washington High School Cheerleaders have been nominated, selected and invited to cheer in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas, this coming December. They are the only school in the state that will be representing Iowa at this national event. At this event, they will spend 4 days together with other squads from throughout the nation. They will be learning information, including the responsibilities and rewards of collegiate and professional cheerleading. On December 29, they will perform before tens of thousands of fans at this nationally televised college football Bowl game. The cheerleaders would like to thank everyone in the community for their support and help in fund-raising efforts. What a great opportunity for this team!
