Jerry Miller, 70, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, of cancer at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton with the Rev. Ardel Barta as celebrant. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home, Vinton, and for one hour before Mass Friday at the church. Inurnment in Bear Creek Cemetery at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol of Vinton; daughter, Jennifer (Pat) Neuhaus; and grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa and Michelle of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Patricia (Paul) Gaul of Corvallis, Mont., and Debra (Don) Hutchins of Hamilton, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, John Reeff; a stillborn son, Gerald Jr.; and daughter, Michelle.
Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous.
