Sarah Joy Jones, 24, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at her home following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at New Covenant Bible Church, 3090 N. Center Point
Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52411. Officiating will be Pastor Tye Male. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service at the church. Burial will folow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Trai Jones Sr.; son, Trai Jones Jr., and a brother, Jacob Spiekermeier, both of Cedar Rapids; her parents, David and Pauline Spiekermeier of Robins; grandmother, Joyce Groth of Hatton, N.D.; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family members.
Sarah was born Nov. 5, 1991, in Pune, India, and joined her family through adoption in 1994. She grew up in Hiawatha, Iowa, and graduated from Kennedy High School with the class of 2010. Sarah was married to Trai Jones on June 11, 2013. She enjoyed all animals and vocal music, but Sarah's true passion was all the great times spent with her family and friends.
She will be remembered for her joy and laughter, which touched so many people's lives.
