Vincent John Hamilton, 55, of Belle Plaine, passed away suddenly following a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the funeral home.

Vince was born March 23, 1961, the son of Lyle and Catherine (DeMeyer) Hamilton. He attended Belle Plaine High School. Following high school, he became a farm hand, excavator and semi operator. In 2012, he began Vinny's Trucking, hauling livestock around the state of Iowa. He had many hobbies with farming being at the top of his list. He spent much of his time raising ducks, sheep, horses and more. He enjoyed a motorcycle ride, giving family and friends a hard time and helping where ever there was a need.

Vincent is survived by his children, John Hamilton of Florida, Matthew Hamilton of Mason City, Todd (Jessica Hathaway) Bartosh of Grandview, Molli (Bill Fues) Sparrowgrove of Tama and Shelly Hamilton of Cedar Rapids; parents, Lyle and Catherine Hamilton of Belle Plaine; siblings, Jerry Hamilton of Belle Plaine, Tim (Katie) Hamilton of Luzerne, Lisa (Terry) Williams of Belle Plaine, Ann (Mike) Yielk of North Liberty, Amy (Doug) Zerba of Belle Plaine and Jay (Tonya) Hamilton of Belle Plaine; 11 grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Walton, Leonard DeMeyer, I.J. and Marie Hamilton.
