Mark L. Wiltsey, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died at the University of Iowa Hospitals after losing his battle with cancer. Mark was born Nov. 23, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Boyd L. Wiltsey and Bette (Botheris) Wiltsey. Mark started his career in the building material industry alongside his father at Iowa Lumber Dealers and finished his career at ABC Supply.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonia Brandley and granddaughter, Reese Brandley, of Cedar Rapids; his son, Chad Wiltsey and wife, Gina Malicoat-Wiltsey, and granddaughter, Isabell Malicoat, and grandson, Joseph Wiltsey, of Urbandale; his brother, Bruce Wiltsey and wife, Emily Wiltsey, of Nashville, Tenn.; and his niece, Christina Hall and husband, Jim Hall, of Oakland, Tenn.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Last Hope Animal Rescue (www.adopthope.org) and the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
