John Poduska, 53, of Mechanicsville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mechanicsville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Solon following the service. Lahey Funeral Home in Olin is assisting the family at this time.
John Francis Poduska was born July 18, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Edward and Lousie (Walshire) Poduska. He graduated from Lincoln High School. John enjoyed farming, raising cattle and working on tractors. He loved to grill out and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson and his puppy, "Trigger."
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Sean (Taylor Brown) Poduska, Stefani (Quinn Williams) Poduska, Jacob Poduska and Adam Poduska, all of Mechanicsville; one grandchild, Kamdan; brothers, Patrick Poduska of Mechanicsville, David (Malinda) Poduska of Lowden, Thomas (Diane) Poduska of Mechanicsville and Tim Poduska of Mechanicsville; and the mother of his children, Kerri Moore of Mechanicsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Theresa; and one brother, Eddie.
