Henry, Annette Marie (Kopecky)
Annette Marie (Kopecky) Henry, 73, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, after a lengthy illness: Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. John R. Flaherty. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with a vigil at 4 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Ron, of 40 years; three sons, John Williams, Jason Henry and Mike Henry; daughter, Deb Seefeld; brothers, Laurence (Butch) Kopecky and Leander Kopecky; sister, Rosemary Roberts; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Annette was born in Clutier, Iowa on Dece. 26, 1939, to Joe and Ruth Kopecky. While working at Turner Microphone Co., Annette met Ron Henry which turned a friend into 40 years of marriage. They were married July 22, 1972.
Annette was active in the parish of All Saints Catholic Church, volunteering her time, but also worked the All Saints school lunch programs for 25 years. Annette enjoyed spending time with her family camping and being on the Coralville Lake, gardening and growing beautiful flowers.
Annette had an independent spirit that was very hard working and caring for others. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Beth Williams.
A memorial fund has been established.
