Shirley Williams Nebergall, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center. Shirley's body was donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program for medical research. Burial: Blue Grass Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Shirley is survived by five grandchildren, Nathan Nebergall, Bart and his wife, Elizabeth Nebergall, Lily Nebergall, all of Tulsa, Okla., Dr. Jamie Bosma-Groh and her husband, Dr. John Groh of Roswell, Ga., and Bradley Bosma of Chicago; a great-grandson, John Groh Jr.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams of Marion; and four nieces, Deb Oellrich, Diane Wendt, Dorothy Abel and Madelyn (Chris) Venter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Nancy Bosma; son, Dr. Robert Nebergall; and brother, David B. Williams.
Shirley Elaine was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter David and Audrey Moler Williams. She married Donald Nebergall on April 12, 1952, in South Bend, Ind. He died March 31, 2016.
Memorials may be directed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
