Marcella Miller, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Marcella's wishes were no visitation and to be cremated. Private family services will be at a later date. Burial will be in Norway Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Marcella was born to John and Jessie (Primrose) Meland on Aug. 10, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Meland; son, Gary Erland; granddaughter, Karen Erland; and son-in-law, Gene Williams.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Williams of Newhall; sons, Don (Sharon) Erland and Jon (Butch) Willer, both of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; stepsons, Gary (Renee) Miller of Toddville and John (Linda) Miller of Marion; her grandchildren, Larry Williams of Denver, Colo., Cindy (Leo) Frazier and Lisa Williams of Cedar Rapids and Jason Erland of Signal Ridge Mountain, Tenn.; and many great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to the staff of the Vinton Lutheran Home and Dr. Brian Meeker for all the great memories that they provided for Marcella.
