Arlene M. "Susie" Chesmore, 83, of Independence,
died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at her home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Harrison Township of Adair County, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Lewis Johnston and Helen Marie (Harrison) Johnston.
Survivors include two sons, Mark White of Independence and John (Cindy) White of Jesup; and a daughter, Mary (Dewey) Eyerly of Lorimor.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 20 at First United Methodist Church in Independence. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call for visitation anytime after 7 p.m. March 18 or after 2 p.m. on March 19 at White Funeral Home in Independence.
