John "Darrel" Studer, 73, of Iowa City, died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa.
At Darrel's request, there will be no services at this time. Burial will be held at a later date at Grout Cemetery in Sharon Center, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Darrel is survived by his wife, Karen Studer; his children, Cheryl (Chris) Williams of Iowa City, Iowa, and Brenda (Larry) Crawford of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Stephanie Crawford, Thomas Crawford, Nicole Williams and Adam Williams; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Studer and Clara Studer, both of Mechanicsville, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Geneva Studer; his brothers, Donald Studer and Robert "Dale" Studer; and his sister, Betty Scaffinger.
