Donald C. "Don" Andrews, 84, of Iowa City, died Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, at the Iowa City VA Health Care System.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. Entombment with military honors will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Iowa City VA hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a sister, Cherie (Jeff) Tampir of Maquoketa; stepchildren, Laurette Linnell of Iowa City, Virginia (Varney) Youngs of Rochester, Iowa, and C. Michael Deatsch of Hermann, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Donna Deatsch of Florida; six stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two cousins, Judy Clark and Arlene Comon of Prescott, Ariz.
