Clifford Wayne Schupp, 70, of Marion Iowa, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17 2020, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.

He was the son of Johnny and Opal (Bond) Schupp of Eldon, Mo. He was born Dec. 25, 1949, in Tuscombia, Mo. On March 12, 1977, he was united in marriage to Kathy (Lanham) Schupp.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Kathy; his mother, Opal Schupp of Eldon, Mo.; two daughters, Lori A. Tagg of Cleveland, Ohio, and Candice M. Schupp and partner Lauren Cozadd of St. Petersburg, Fla; two sons, Scott Schupp of Youngstown, Ohio, and Casey Schupp and wife Jaida of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; six grandchildren, Amber Tagg, Ricky Tagg, Jordan Schupp, Hunter Schupp, Gavin Schupp and Abigail Fitcher; one great-grandchild, Lillian Chafer; two brothers, Michael Schupp and wife Barb of Kansas City, Kan., and Jerry Schupp of Russellville, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and one aunt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Schupp.

Cliff attended schools in Eldon, Mo. He worked as an electronic design engineer for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Arcata Associates in Las Vegas, Nev., and Fortune Coin Co. in Las Vegas, where he developed the first video poker machine. This is also where he met his future wife Kathy. He spent seven years in the Air Force and was a very proud veteran. Cliff was also honored with a seat on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. His son Casey went with him and both had an excellent time. They were both so proud to be there and Casey said he was honored to see his dad so proud.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bingo and was an avid reader. Cedar Memorial took care of the cremation. There will be no service at this time due to the COVID-19 virus. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
