It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann Sawyer of Marion, Iowa, announce her passing on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at the age of 77. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rhonda Upchurch-Trigo (Mike), Robin Slaton (Tim) and Rodney Upchurch (Lynn); grandchildren, BreAnn Aguilar, Ian and Tara Upchurch, Eric Trigo and Joshua Allen; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Treyton, Javin, Teddy, Evie, Navuan, John Jr. and Emily; siblings, Kathy Ballew, William, Robert and James Clinton; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Carol was preceeded in death by her parents, Erwin and Ruth Clinton; siblings, Edward, Allen, Erwin Junior, Elaine, Sherry, Rosalie, Barbara; and grandsons, Andrew and John.
Donations to be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, in lieu of flowers. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
