Danna Rae Walters, 66, of Marion, Iowa, passed away
on Thursday, July 26, 2018.
A memorial service celebrating Danna's life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the River of Life Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A potluck will follow. Shared dishes appreciated. A private burial was held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Danna was born on Aug. 11, 1951, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Ray Charter "Buck" and Ethel (Walter) Leete. On Jan. 8, 1983, she married Dennis Walters in Elkader, Iowa.
Danna is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, Seth, Luke (Janessa) and Thaddeus; grandchildren, Kayson, Kayden and Brooklyn; and her brother, Charter (Linda).
Danna was preceded in death by her parents.
Danna's passion was cosmetology. She loved making people look and feel beautiful.
Danna's light has been described by her friends as such ...
"She loved and believed and championed without reserve."
"She shines with God's love."
"She loved all the beauty that God made and she's made this world a more beautiful place for having been here."
Anyone who met her will never forget her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
