The firm opened offices from coast to coast where they focused on hospital and health care design for the next 30+ years. John's most important things in life were his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue (Sutherland); and their three children, Greg Lind (Monica Tranel) from Missoula, Mont., Lauren Lind (Mike Gifford) of Center Point, Iowa, and Eric Lind of Tempe, Ariz. John and Sue had a lifetime of adventures together. They have many amazing memories of years traveling with family, their children and grandchildren and many friends. Having new experiences and learning new things, especially with loved ones, was their joy.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the wonderful people at Iowa City Hospice and the amazing caregivers at Country View in North Liberty. They all helped ease this journey.
