Voting for education and the environment

As a mom of two school-aged kids, I have many reasons to vote for Eric Gjerde. Two of those reasons are education and the environment. Both are areas Iowa has excelled, up until the past two years.
Leading in education starts with treating teachers like the professionals they are. Eric is a teacher at Jefferson High School, who wrote his dissertation on collective bargaining. His opponent, Ashley Hinson, voted to drastically weaken the collective bargaining rights of teachers, nurses, prison workers, etc. We can still be fiscally responsible and keep the ability for professionals to negotiate health insurance, wages, working conditions, etc.
We need Iowa to be a leader in renewable energy. Individual actions to help reverse global warming are great, but we need to elect lawmakers who will make tackling clean water and air a priority. Eric has a section of his website dedicated to the environment. I checked his opponent's website twice and found no mention of the environment.
If you live in Robins, Hiawatha, or parts of CR or Marion and have him on your ballot, vote Eric for education and the environment. And, excellent health care for all as an added bonus.
