MARGARET DUNBAR
Clarence
Margaret L. Dunbar, 93, of Clarence, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at St. John's United Church of Christ, with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Margaret was born July 9, 1922, in Winterset, Iowa, to Claude and Vera (Cole) Reed. She married Clarence Dunbar on Oct. 13, 1940. He died in June 1995.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Jan (Robert) Niermeyer of Clarence; sons, Don (Judy) Dunbar of Ankeny and Larry (Georganne) Dunbar of Zionsville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Fern Benge of Des Moines and Wilma Oglesbee of Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson and a sister.
