Charles "Chuck" Bieber, 87, passed away Jan. 1, 2017, of a sudden illness.
Chuck was born Jan. 29, 1929, to Melvin and Johanna (Frahm) Bieber in Monmouth, Iowa. He attended Anamosa Community Schools. He then served in the U.S. Navy. He married Dorothy Tarbox on June 27, 1951. They made their home in the Anamosa area, where they farmed, owned and operated ITCO Farm Store Business. He then worked for NAPA Auto Parts and Vernon's Conoco in his later years. Chuck also served on the Anamosa school board for 15 years. Chuck enjoyed his family and friends, and he enjoyed visiting with people. He will be missed by all.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; daughter, LuAnn; three sons, Randy (Linda), Dave and Brian (Tracy); 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and one son-in-law, Dennis Bower.
No funeral service or visitation is scheduled at this time. A memorial for family and close friends will be held at a later date. Thoughts, memories and condolences can be sent to Dorothy.
