PATRICK "WATERMAN" HEIKEN

Born in Atlantic, Iowa, on March 15, 1954, to Byard and Anna Mae (Brown) Heiken, Patrick J. Heiken, 64, of Iowa City, died peacefully Nov. 2, 2018, in the comfort of his home after a courageous battle with extensive small cell lung cancer.
Pat graduated from Atlantic High School in 1972 and spent the last 35 years of his work career with Crystal Clear Water.
Pat's family includes his wife, Debbie; son, Chad Reed (Dana); daughter, Shanna Moore (Nathan); grandchildren, Cole Davis, Megan Davis, Aidan Davis, Jaxon Davis and Carter Moore; brothers, Charles Heiken (Sharyl), Richard Heiken (Twila), Doug Heiken (Mary) and Thom Heiken (Vicki); sisters, Mary Boyd (Jim) and Amy Johnson (Russ); 13 nieces and nephews; two aunts; one uncle; and many cousins. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A time for family and friends to gather to share Pat's life and support one another will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gay and Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon or Iowa City Hospice.
