McHale, Patrick 'Pat'
Patrick “Pat” McHale, 56, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sept. 13, 2010, in his sleep at home from heart failure. A memorial gathering will be today from 2 to 3 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Dukes Steen Chapel in Lakeland, followed by a 3 p.m. memorial service.
He leaves behind his wife, Sonya Monty McHale; his sisters, Kim Maas and Annmarie Simmoens, and niece, Leah Humbert, all of Cedar Rapids; and his brother, Donald and wife Becky of Enid, Okla.
Pat was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he loved to play softball. He later spent 17 years in Syracuse, N.Y. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
