Goodall, Patrick
Patrick Goodall, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, with a rosary at 5:45 p.m. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jane of Cedar Rapids; children, Kelly Goodall of Chicago and Jennifer Velky, son-in-law, Tim Velky, and grandson, Clayton Velky, all of Solon; sister, Mary Jane (Leonard) Morehead of Fort Myers, Fla.; brothers, Tom (JoAnn) Goodall of Eldridge, Jim (Molly) Goodall of Ohio/Florida and Bob (Nancy) Goodall of Topeka, Kan.; and nieces and nephews, Lenny, Marc, Mik and Jodi Morehead, Joe, Kate, Christine, Judd, Adam and Paula Goodall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mildred.
Patrick was born July 26, 1950, in Maquoketa, Iowa, son of Francis and Mildred Goodall. He received a BA from the University of Northern Iowa. Pat retired from Cummins Filtration in Lake Mills, Iowa, after 37 years. He married Jane Lex on March 25, 1972, in Des Moines. Pat loved being a grandpa and was a Hawkeye fan.
A memorial fund has been established.
