Patrick J. O'Shaughnessy
(1949-2009)
Patrick James O'Shaughnessy was taken to his eternal rest on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at the age of 60. He was a loving and committed husband, father, amazing “poppe,” as well as a well known and respected man. He was a dedicated employee of Reilly Construction Co. in Ossian for 32 years. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Echo Valley Speedway, east of West Union. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schmitz Funeral Home in Ossian.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta O'Shaughnessy; two children, Brandon and Shannon O'Shaughnessy; two granddaughters, Aveleen and Lola O'Shaughnessy; his mother, Viola O'Shaughnessy; mother-in-law, Evelyn Vanderpool; and four sisters-in-law and spouses, multiple aunts, cousins, loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert O'Shaughnessy; and brother, Tom O'Shaughnessy.
