Andrea Christine Russell, 47, of Norway, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at home.
She was born Feb. 14, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Richard and Carolyn Sue Sanders Russell. She married Doyle Butler on Sept. 30, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo. They later divorced.
Andrea graduated from Wartburg College in 1991 with degrees in psychology and sociology and was employed for a time as a social worker at Friendship Village in Waterloo. She was later a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Dallas Butler and Cade Butler, both of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Amy Russell Roberts of Waterloo; a niece, Jenna Roberts; and a nephew, Adam Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Donald and Ruth Russell; and maternal grandmother, Georgia Sanders.
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo. Visitation also one hour before services Friday at the church.
