Phyllis M. Kroeger, 89, of Tipton, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton.
Phyllis was born Oct. 27, 1926, to Leonard and Alvena (Martens) Johannsen in Scott County, Iowa. She married Henry E. Kroeger on Dec. 16, 1950, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2008.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Additional visitation will be one hour before the service. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Durant Cemetery.
Phyllis is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Beverly (Mark) Ahlemeyer of Shellsburg; her sons, Bruce (Kathy) Kroeger of Bennett and Brian (Kathy) Kroeger of West Liberty; three grandchildren, Bethany Kroeger of Cedar Rapids, Allison Kroeger of Fitchburg, Wis., and Christopher Ahlemeyer of Shellsburg; and her sisters, Darlene (John) Paustian Lawlor of Davenport and Della (Jim) Reimers of Hot Springs, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Bill Johannsen.
Memorial donations may be made to Cedar Manor Nursing Home in her memory.
