Phyllis Jean Von Ahsen Tonne passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Mercy Iowa City at the age of 86 years.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Nancy) Von Ahsen of Amana and Helen (Randy) Ritchie, Kristine and Karen Von Ahsen, all of Williamsburg; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Janet Kulhavy of Walford and Carole Valentine of Blythe, Calif.; and two brothers, William Riley of Loveland, Colo., and Jim Riley of Marion.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; a sister, Elizabeth Riley; a son, Mark Von Ahsen; and a grandson, Gilbert Masa.
Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. The Rev. Thomas Ogilvie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. There will be a Ladies VFW Auxiliary service at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, and the Ghosh Center, Cedar Rapids.
