Somersaults’ Mackenzie wins twice at Triad gymnastics meet

DES MOINES - Mackenzie Eichhorn of the Somersaults Gymnastics team won the beam and floor exercise in Xcel Silver earlier this month at the Triad Classic.
Other Somersaults winners were Kennedy Hurlbert (floor), Addy Sobaski (bars), Emersyn Connerley (bars) and Audra Peterson (beam) in Silver; Kierstem Swart (floor) and Maya Carrizales (bars) in Xcel Gold; and Bailey Davis (bars) in Xcel Platinum.
Placewinners were Elliana Brockhohn, Lily Lai and Charlie Bruner in Xcel Bronze; Hailey Marlin, Timberli Hosek, Ella Deiters, Lauren Hunt and Harley Schulte in Silver; Emeri Hill, Bentley Rust and Bailey Hakert in Gold; and Paige Hacke in Platinum.
Somersaults' Silver team finished second and the Gold team was third.
4 FROM KIDS FIRST WIN GOLD
DES MOINES - Megan Humphrey, Amalisa Harris, Brianna Bell and Sarah Till of Kids First Gymnastics won gold at Chow's Winter Classic meet last weekend.
Humphrey won the floor exercise in Level 4, Harris the floor in Level 5, Bell the vault in Level 5, and Till the bars in Xcel Silver.
Other Kids First placewinenrs were Hailey Gammon in Level 6; Eva Sanchez-Masi, Chloe Columbus, Briar Hess and Kailee Ordaz in Level 5; Briella Kittrell, Landrey Krambeer and Anika White in Xcel Bronze; and Mackenzie Opperman and Addison Kingery in Xcel Silver.
MOSER HAS 25 WINNERS
Twenty-five members of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic team captured titles at the USTA Power Tumbling meet held in Marshalltown.
The winners were Carter Phillips, Makayla Gasper, Emma Oberbroeckling, Memphis Voelker, Reagan Dolan, Kaydence Ahart, Tucker Erickson, Kennedy Bulman, Madelyn Troester, Elizabeth Recker, Makayla Cuellar, Aubrey Wilson, Hannah Seevell, Brynn Burlage, Aaliyah Rosenthal, Laura Pierschbacher, Parks Grennan, Mattie Johnson, Vivian Clar, Dagny Kuhlman, Ava Seevell, Lainey Payne, Lydia Trumm, Payton Ritze and Rylee Whittaker.
Paige Kremer finished second, along with Lily Schmitz, Megan Pierschbacher, Emma Fisher, Elyse Konrardy, Ava Zimmerman, Kaitlyn Besler, Ava Oberbroeckling, Mylie Elliot, Kaley Polfer, Kadee Batterson, Ella Frieden, Memphis Peyton, Sophie Gardner, Libby Burkle, Kaia Engelhardt, Mya Bockenstedt, Carlie Bergan, Adalyn Ostrander, Mackenzie Bries and Adalyn Fette.
Finishing third were Katelin Ante, Jayce Grennan, Madeline Martin, Lexi Opitz, Savanna Lehman, Rylee Crubel, Josi Munger, Makenna Payne, Georgia Werger, Julia Kuennen, Madilyn Payne, Phillip Johnson, Maya Cuellar, Morie Johnson, Malin Phelps and Elizabeth Hilliard.
