CHARLES CITY - For most basketball players, dunking is one of the ultimately, god-like goals they all want to reach.
Last season, Jaden Foster reached that goal.
Foster is a 6-foot-3 power forward for the Coments as a sophomore. In his sixth year of playing basketball, he achieved the long-sought goal to dunk.
It was the last game of the 2014-15 basketball season and the Comets were playing at Waukon High School. The game was all but over with the junior varsity having a 20 point lead over the Indians. With about four minutes left, the miraculous happened.
The Comets were on defense and got a steal. Foster recovered the ball, dribbled into the paint and threw down a monstrous dunk.
'It felt like I was above the entire gym,” he said.
Foster hopes to throw down more jaw-dropping dunks this season and is working hard to reach that goal.
But for now he'll keep working on mastering that dunk.
