Kisling, Randy D.
Randy D. Kisling, 54 of Grinnell, formerly of Urbana, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. Services: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, where the family will greet friends from 4 p.m. until service time. Burial: Urbana Cemetery, Urbana.
Survivors include two children, Jason Kisling of Urbana and A.J. Kisling of Cedar Rapids; a grandchild, Austin Pieper Kisling; brother, Richard Kisling of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Shelly Sams of Albia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Randy was born Oct. 28, 1956, the son of Jack and Janyce (Saddoris) Kisling, in Iowa City, Iowa. A 1976 Kennedy High School graduate, he worked for Kindale Asphalt, Elsbury Tree Service, restaurants in Vinton, Underwood Construction and the Swift Packing plant in Tama.
Randy enjoyed collecting die cast race cars, putting models together, watching NASCAR and was a compassionate friend with a helping hand when needed. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing and raising plants. Randy loved his cats, Bonnie and Clyde.
