MARY ANN STUMPFF Norway Mary Ann Stumpff, 85, of Norway, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish center with a rosary at 7 p.m. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Steve (Kim), Walford, Charlie (Kathy), Iowa City, Rebecca (Keith) Bertchey, San Diego, Calif., and Mary (Bob) Stluka, Monett, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Nancy Notton-Stumpff, Norway; grandchildren, Lindsay, Chelsea and Spencer Stumpff, Brady (Chris) Goerdt, Joshua (April) and John (Marcell) Stumpff, Kara (Justin) Pothast, Jennifer (Nick) Hatz, Emily and Shelly Stumpff, Tyler (Anna Hoppe) Schumacher, Chase Bertchey, and Kristin (Jeremy) Canady; great-grandchildren, Tatum, Reece, Camden and Kipton Goerdt, Jonathan Stumpff, Jayden Stumpff, Cora Hatz, Miles Pothast and Kate Canady; brother-in-law, Richard Stumpff; and sister-in-law, Druecilla Slager. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and son, Donald Stumpff Jr. Mary Ann was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Cedar Rapids to Alois and Lucille Frese Rottger. On April 14, 1951, she married Donald Stumpff Sr. in Norway. She worked many years as a cook at the Ox Yoke Inn, Amana. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the American Legion Auxiliary 234. Mary Ann was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing cards and games. Her greatest love was her family.
