Taylor, Norma Jean
Norma Jean Taylor, 83, of Blackduck, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday evening, Nov. 11, 2012, at Heritage House Assisted Living in Blackduck. Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, by the Rev. Bob Voels of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial: Sisley Grove Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Sally (John) Lee, Blackduck, Minn., and Penny (Rod Everts) Taylor; two grandchildren, Jeremy Simmons and fiancee Stacy Grapes and Riley Everts, both of Cedar Rapids; great-granddaughter, Jayden Simmons, Cedar Rapids; brother, Vinton (Tamae) Margretz, and sister, Wilma (George) Kibler, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elery; her parents, Glen and Pauline (Craft) Margretz; sisters, Wanda Cook, Jane Morris and Joan Tank; and a brother, Paul Margretz.
Norma was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Waterloo. She had been employed at St. Luke's Hospital for 25 years, Mercy Medical Center for four years and then cleaned offices until her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Norma enjoyed music, karaoke, dancing, singing and reading.
A memorial fund has been established.
