Robert Arthur Dose Jr., 62, of Waubeek, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island, Ill. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will
follow the service at Jordan's Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his children, Brittney Dose (Alonzo), Chad Dose and Christina Dose, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Henry (Gloria) of Marysville, Calif.; sister, Carolyn (Maurice) of Waubeek; and grand-children, Christian, Tavius, Alonzo, Candace, Jayden and Preston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Glendola Dose of Waubeek.
He was born Aug. 24, 1952, in Monticello, Iowa, to Robert and Glendola Dose. He grew up in Waubeek, Iowa, and attended Central City Community Schools. Robert worked for Wilson Foods and Roto-Rooter until he was no longer able to because of illness.
He had a great love for his family, friends and life and was always quick with a joke.
He will truly be missed by all those who knew him. A gentle giant in life and an angel in death.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up in his name at the Exchange State Bank in Springville, Iowa.
