Midland rolls past English Valleys, 76-12

WYOMING – English Valleys found a quick answer to Midland's first touchdown in a Week 0 game Friday night, but it was all Eagles from there in a 76-12 blowout.

Dawson Paulson rushed for a 15-yard touchdown to break a 6-6 tie, then Alex Martens rolled out and aired it out to Connor Harms and Midland led 20-6 after one quarter.

On the first play of the second quarter, Austin Smith scored for the second time. Paulson picked off a Bears' pass on the next possession and was rewarded with a TD pass from Martens.

Smith's first score gave the Eagles an early 6-0 lead before English Valleys responded with Kellan Coppinger's 29-yard scamper.

Midland hosts Don Bosco next Friday while English Valleys takes on Twin Cedars.
