KCRG-TV9 to offer 124 Major League Baseball games

CEDAR RAPIDS - KCRG-TV9 will add Major League Baseball to its spring and summer lineup this year.

A total of 124 regular season MLB games will air between April 7 and Oct. 4 on KCRG-TV9, KCRG 9.2 and KCRG 9.3, as a result of a partnership with WGN Sports and WLS Chicago. KCRG-TV9 will show 69 Chicago Cubs and 55 Chicago White Sox games, with the exception of match-ups between the two teams.

KCRG's Director of Broadcast Distribution Kevin Schrader says the investment in MLB broadcasting demonstrates commitment to growing KCRG's sports portfolio with offerings that matter to local baseball fans.

'KCRG-TV9 will be your home for Chicago baseball, and we look forward to bringing a full season of Major League Baseball games to Eastern Iowa,” Schrader said.

KCRG 9.2 and KCRG 9.3 are available for free over the air or via cable. Mediacom customers can find KCRG 9.2 on channel 109 and KCRG 9.3 on channel 110. For ImOn customers, KCRG 9.2 broadcasts on channel 709 and KCRG 9.3 on channel 710.
