Danielle Marie Holub, 10-year-old daughter of Brad and Amber Holub of Marion, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church. The Rev. John Flaherty will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. There will also be a visitation at the church after 9 a.m. Thursday.
Survivors include her parents, Bradley and Amber; a brother, Dylan; and a sister, Brinkley, both at home; her paternal grandparents, Dean and Joellen Holub of Marion; maternal grandparents, Dan and Keeley Kinney of Norwalk; uncle and aunts, Chase and Brittany Kinney of Arizona, Phillip and Britni Rickaby of Ohio, Nick and Sarah Holub of Springville and Tony Holub and Mindy Meyer of Waubeek; a cousin, Ainsley Holub of Springville; and many, many close friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dalton; grandparents, Louann Martucci; and great-grandparents, Earl Holub, William and Evelyn Kinney and Betty and Ed Phillips.
Danielle was born June 27, 2008, in Cedar Rapids. She was a student at Indian Creek Elementary School in Marion. Danielle enjoyed being read to, music, the movie "Frozen" and adored her brother and sister. Danielle will forever be remembered for her courage, and a smile that would light up a room.
Memorial donations may be made to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital or UnityPoint Hospice.
The family would like to thank In Home nursing staff, the teachers and support system at Indian Creek Elementary and UnityPoint Hospice for the love and wonderful care given to Danielle.
