Nancy Marsh, 76, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Pastor Dave Raemisch will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has been entrusted with Nancy's services and care.

Surviving are two daughters, Cindy Marsh of Clinton and Lisa Ross of Davenport; two grandchildren, Tasha Ross and Melissa (Josh) Wiley; three great-grandsons, Michael , RJ and EJ; a sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Joslyn, Monticello; and a brother, Gary (Linda) Mardorf, Henderson, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 2010; and a daughter, Dee Ann Marsh in 1982.

Nancy Lee Mardorf was born May 25, 1941, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Wilhelm and Kathryn Wilson Mardorf. Nancy was a member of the last graduating class from Buck Creek High School in 1958. She worked at Cuckler Buildings in Monticello.

Nancy Lee Mardorf and Robert "Bob" Marsh married on July 9, 1961, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Monticello. The couple lived in Monticello and Cedar Rapids before moving to Calamus. Nancy was employed by Samuel's Jewelers in Davenport for many years. The couple retired in 1989 and started traveling in their RV. They eventually settled in Corpus Christi, Texas. In the fall of 2011, Nancy returned to Iowa to make her home in Monticello.

Nancy was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Monticello, where she was baptized and confirmed. She also belonged to the 94 Club in Monticello and the Widows Club in DeWitt. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, sewing circle at church, movies and the Golden State Warriors. But her favorite thing was to be able to GO, GO, GO.
