Miriam Heneks, 91, of Mechanicsville, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. A graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville will be held at
a later date.
Miriam was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Mechanicsville to Forest and Dorothy Hamilton Rhoads. She was married to Gene Heneks on March 6, 1951. He passed away on Nov. 16, 2004.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Karen) and Bob (Laura) of Mechanicsville; granddaughters, Stacey (Nate) Heneks and Karey (Travis) Sowden; great-grandson, Ivan Sowden; and sister, Mary Jean Penningroth of Tipton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Margaret.
Miriam enjoyed traveling in her earlier years and loved gardening and her flowers. She was very proud to be a farm wife.
