Black bear spotted again in northeast Iowa
The Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office said Monday that a black bear was seen near Plum Creek Golf Course in Fredericksburg.
The caller said the bear, which has been roaming around Eastern Iowa for several days, was spotted on the golf course about 7:30 a.m. Monday. The bear was last seen northbound in timber north of the course, near Fredericksburg's wastewater treatment facility.
Authorities remind people to refrain from trying to photograph or pursue the bear.
