Shari Ann Gillespie, 79, of Boone, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the Bridges of Ankeny. Funeral services will be held at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. A visitation with family present will be Monday, July 30, 2018, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone from 5 to
7 p.m. Interment will take place at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shari's memory are suggested to United Way of Boone County or a charity of your choice.
Shari was born Dec. 18, 1938. She is survived by sisters, Jane (Dick) Sloan, Hiawatha, and Kathy Timmer, Cedar Falls; and brother, Gordy (Lynda) Rogers, Ankeny. In addition to her siblings, she leaves behind nieces and nephews, Mishelle (Jim) Panek, Jamie (Todd) Steichen, Tom (Amy) Sloan, Aaron (Brenda) Timmer, Chris Timmer, Wendy (Jake) Poling, Tim Rogers and Michael Rogers; and special great-niece, Emily (Jason) South.
