Marian M. Greenlee, 91, of Belle Plaine, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Belle Plaine Care Center. A private service will be held at a later date.
Marian was born March 7, 1925, in Elberon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bertha (Hilton) Radeke. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1942. She met the love of her life, John Greenlee, and they were married Dec. 12, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio. They shared 68 years together until his passing in 2011.
Left to cherish Marian's memory are her children, Linda Abernathey of Hiawatha, Dennis (Donna) Greenlee of Belle Plaine, Marc (Barbara) Greenlee of Vinton, Mary (John) Tilton of Hiawatha and Bob (Luann) Greenlee of Lisbon; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Rapids.
