I-380 study to be discussed at North Liberty public meeting

NORTH LIBERTY - The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to hold a public information meeting later this month to share details on the department's Interstate 380 Planning Study.
The Iowa DOT is studying infrastructure needs along the stretch of I-380 between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, with plans in place to create a vision for infrastructure investment.
Public input also will be gathered during the meeting, which is scheduled from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the North Liberty Recreation Center, 520 W. Cherry St.
No formal presentation is planned and the meeting will held in be an open forum format, with DOT staff available for discussion.

Traffic on I-380 southbound flows through as work continues on the Forevergreen Road interchange on I-380 in North Liberty on Thursday, Apr. 12, 2018. Crews worked from 11 P.M. to 4 A.M. to install concrete girders,141 feet long and 60 tons in weight, over I-380. Traffic was stopped for 20 minute periods to allow them to install the beams.
