Gabrielle L. Devereux of Walker, Iowa, went to be one of God's angels on March 6, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, with a visitation one hour prior at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Gabrielle, under "photos and videos or media," starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13.
Born Feb. 26, 1991, she attended North Linn High School through 11th grade and graduated from Washington High School in 2009. She attended Kirkwood Community College. Gabrielle was diagnosed with Juvenile Huntington's Disease and walked daily to fight the effects of the disease. Gabrielle was the granddaughter and adopted daughter of Terry and Linda Sue Devereux.
Gabrielle is survived by her grandparents (parents), Terry and Linda; her aunt (sister), Angela (Tim) Reedy; uncles (brothers), Steve (Jenn) and Gregory Devereux; father, Robert (Georgia); sisters, Kelly (Tanner) Sprague, Bridget and Brooke Devereux, Miranda and Lexi Lemekuhl and Wren Woodward; nephew, Alec; and niece, Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lori Woodward.
Memorials will be directed to the Huntington's Disease Society of America in her name.
